Velma (Cutler) Matloff, age 96, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026 surrounded by family members.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Velma was raised there before marrying her beloved husband, Harold Matloff, at age 23. They made their home in Revere, Massachusetts, where they raised their four children and built a lifetime of memories with family and friends.
Velma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, energy, positive outlook, love of animals, love of anything pink, love of her "bling" and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold. She is survived by her four children: Lynne Johnson, Susan Malkin and her husband Ira, Toni Matloff and her husband Mitch Kashdan and Steve Matloff and his wife Melissa. She also leaves eight cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Alisa, Eric, Zack, Kianna, Kim & Amanda along with eight great-grandchildren, Mila, Emi, Maisie, Ivry, Leila, Zanaya, Christopher & Olivia.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, Massachusetts, on Thursday, July 23, at 1:45. The plot is 29A Gilead and this link ( Park Maps | Sharon Memorial Park ) will show you the map of the park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA through this link ( Lynne Johnson is fundraising for Massachusetts Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals. )
The family is grateful for the love, guidance, and devotion Velma gave throughout her life.
