Oakland- Sheila L. Stratton sadly passed away November 2nd, 2022, with family by her side. Sheila was born May 25, 1962, the daughter of Dennis Stratton Sr. and Jeanette Grivois. She graduated from Messalonskee High School in 1980 and went on to college to complete her master’s degree. Sheila lived in Anchorage, Alaska for several years and then moved back to Maine and lived in Oakland. Sheila worked for Scott Paper Company and worked for Inland Hospital. Sheila was a loving and caring person; she will be greatly missed. Sheila is predeceased by her mother Jeannette Grivois and sister Kathy Stratton, and one brother Dennis Stratton Jr. Sheila is survived by her father Dennis Stratton Sr. of Sidney; brothers Charles Stratton and Tracy Constable of Oakland, Henry Stratton and wife Cathy of Palmyra; daughter Megan Surencha of Sidney; several nieces, nephews and aunts. The family would like to thank Sheila’s hospice nurses, Doctor Dohner, and Jason Greenlaw for all their care. Visiting hours will be Wednesday November 9th, 2022, at Wheeler Funeral Home from 10-12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm. A committal service will follow at Pine Grove cemetery in Belgrade in the family plot.
