Robert Leland
Tracy
Apr 30, 1950 — Sep 30, 2026
Waterville
Robert Leland Tracy, known to many as “Bob”, born April 30th, 1950, passed away Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, in his Waterville home surrounded by love and care at the age of 76.
Bob was a loving husband, father, son, uncle, grandfather, friend, and much more. He was and will continue to be deeply cherished by family and friends for many years to come.
His life has been a testament to the values of service, dedication, and the love he had for family and his community. His courageous dedication to life and the love for his country began at the age of 18 in 1968, as he honorably served in the United States Marine Corps, where his values and morals would grow deep roots that would live long past the life of his own and passed on through generations.
Bob devoted many years working at a paper mill, Statler Tissue, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. His colleagues from that time remember him for his loyalty, strong work ethic, and quick witted humor that could brighten the worst of days.
Throughout his life, he applied those very same values beyond professionalism. Bob was a passionate volunteer firefighter. Respected by his community, he was strongly known for his commitment to safety and showed great compassion to those in need.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob always found comfort in nature as a lifelong fisherman and hunter. He highly respected the great outdoors and all creatures within. He could often be found hunting, and fishing alongside any of his family and friends that would be willing to go with him. His 2nd amendment right was something he deeply valued as a lifelong hunter, and he was a proud member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where he shared his knowledge and love for agriculture with young newcomers. A firearms enthusiast, he also loved sharing his knowledge of firearms, and teaching hunter safety courses to the younger generations who were beginning their journeys as hunters.
He is survived by his mother, Constance “Connie” Tracy, his beloved wife Carol, whom he loved dearly, along with his two sons, Eric and Robert “Mike” Tracy. Bob also was a caring brother to Richard “Dick”, and his two sisters, Terry and Jayne, all of whom he loved deeply. His legacy continues to live on through his many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Bob is predeceased by his father, Clyde “Tom” Tracy, whose life helped shape Bob into the loving man he was, and whose memory he cherished.
In accordance with his family’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held on October 30, 2026, to honor Robert's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to a charity of one's choice, a gesture that reflects Robert’s generous spirit and commitment to helping others and caring for those in his community.
Robert’s family wishes to share a special message from Jude 21:24-25:
"Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen."
May Robert Leland Tracy’s memory be a warm blessing to all who knew him. His life was a beautiful tribute to love, service, community, and family.
