Dennis Lee Klipp, age 84, of Rome, Maine went to his heavenly home on September 12, 2026, after a long illness. Dennis was born on July 7, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the first son of Donald R. and Dorothy (Gough) Klipp. He graduated from Lane Technical High School and then went on to earn a B. S. Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1975, where he majored in mathematics. In 1982, he earned an MBA from the University of New Haven.

Dennis worked for many years as a mechanical engineer for companies in Chicago, Hartford, Connecticut, and Waterville, Maine, before starting his own consulting business. During his time as a consultant, he filed and held several patents. His projects took him to many places, including countries throughout Europe, Japan, and Colombia. An avid photographer, Dennis captured many beautiful images during his travels. He also enjoyed fly fishing and skeet shooting, supporting those hobbies by tying flies and reloading shells. He was a longtime member of the Arnold Trail Gun Club and as well as the Herman Gun Club. At the Arnold Trail Gun Club, he served for many years as secretary and treasurer. In earlier years, he was active in dog showing, especially basset hounds.

Dennis married Sharon Louise Neitzel on October 21, 1972, and they shared nearly 54 loving years together. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his brother David (Linda) of Frankfort, IN; his sons, Christopher (Helisha) of Westfield, IN, and Eric (Kimberly) of Burrillville, RI; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Alexander, and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald; his sister-in-law, Corry; and his grandson, Andrew. Dennis was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 36 Cool Street, Waterville, ME on Saturday, September 26 at 10:00 AM. This will be followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
