Obituary

Delilah Sue Mairs, a newborn angel whose stay on Earth was but a fleeting moment, was born on the 15th of August, 2025, in Augusta, ME, USA. Despite her brief presence, she filled the hearts of all who knew of her with an incomprehensible amount of love, joy, and hope. In the words of poet Langston Hughes, "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly." Delilah, an embodiment of dreams and love, has now taken her flight into the eternal. Delilah, who called Oakland, Maine, home, was the cherished daughter of Krista Mairs and Daniel Andrews. She came into this world surrounded by love, and will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, as well as her siblings, Jeremyah Andrews and Arianna Cloutier. Even in her brief existence, Delilah managed to create ripples of love that will go on forever. She was the embodiment of purity and innocence, reminding us of the preciousness of life. In her short time, she taught us the essence of love, the value of dreams, and the beauty of hope. In the words of Henry David Thoreau, "There is no remedy for love but to love more." Delilah's brief time on earth was a testament to this truth. Despite the pain that comes with her loss, the love she inspired will continue to resonate and grow. Her memory will serve as a beacon of hope, a testament to the power of love, and an enduring reminder of the preciousness of life. We invite all who were touched by Delilah's brief presence to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. In celebrating her life, we acknowledge the profound impact she has made in her fleeting visit to this world.
