Obituary

Oakland - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice A. "Gigi" Lausier of Oakland on Monday, February 17, 2020. Bernice was born on September 11, 1944, in Madawaska, Maine to Prudent and Eva Ouellette. She was born in a family of nine brothers and sisters. She married Ronald Lausier Sr. and had two children, Donna and Ronald Jr. Ronald Sr. and Bernice were happily married for 37 years until Ronald's passing in 2001. She stayed at home most of the time, yet, she enjoyed doing crafts and making her grandchildren and great grandchildren mittens and slippers for the cold winters. She loved to listen to her late husband's music CD's and she always could look forward to her yearly visit with sister-in-law Claudette Pelletier of Van Buren, Maine. Bernice thoroughly enjoyed watching TV, mostly politics or watching her favorite team, the Red Sox play baseball. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Ronald Lausier; her brothers Jim Ouellette, Frank Ouellette, Don Ouellette, Raymond Ouellette, and Ludgar Ouellette; sisters Viola Cyr Irene Pelletier, Claire Ouellette and Mildred Gervais; great grandchildren, Clint Jr (C.J) Girton, Jocelyn and Jaleah Parlin. Bernice is survived by her children, her devoted daughter Donna Cormier and husband Norman of Oakland, Maine, her son Ronald "Little Bub" Lausier Jr. and his wife Deana of Clermont, Florida; her sister Jean Grivois of Florida; her grandchildren Ryan and wife Angela Cormier of Maine, Kyle Cormier and Fiancé Jaime Newcombe of Maine, Hope and Husband Dylan Parlin of Maine, Heather and husband Clint Girton of Texas, Kimmy and husband Josh Scranton of Missouri, Shantel Lausier and Fiancé Paul Sylvia of Florida, Jacob (Jakey) Lausier of Florida, Jordan Castonguay of Maine and Courtney Castonguay of Florida; great grandchildren Lynmarie, Joseph, Juliette, Ethan, Elias, Gabrielle, Alaina, Adriann, Athena, Rayne, Elizabeth, Katherin, Aiden, Aria, Scarlette, Jordan Jr (J.J), and Jackson; In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family in care of Donna Cormier, 17 Denise Ave, Oakland, ME 04963. A service will be held this summer on June 13th at Saint Bruno's-St. Remi Catholic Church, 174 Main St, Van Buren, ME at 10 AM.
