Obituary

BARBARA ANN CZEPIEL FEB 25,1947 - MARCH 7, 2024 Jesus called Barbara home on March 7, 2024 after a long battle of health issues. We have been blessed to have had Barbara for the 77 years of her precious life. She worked and attended Sunshine Village(Adult Day Care Center) in Mass. for 30 years and with great pride being in charge of the cafeteria. All of us that knew Barbara will never forget her smile, sense of humor and always wanting to help. Listening to Polish music on the Big Joe Polka Show was a favorite thing to do. Her dream was to play the accordion but couldn't, but now she can. She was born and raised in Chicopee, Mass on 2/25/1947 by her parents Walter and Stella Czepiel, now deceased. She will be laid to rest beside them on May 2, 2024 at 1pm following a graveside service at Notre Dame cemetery in South Hadley, Mass. Barbara came to Maine in 2011 to live with her sister Diane Bickford who resides in Oakland. She loved Maine and all it had to offer especially Lobster rolls and mostly all the friends she made who have expressed so much love for her. Barbara leaves behind her two sisters Diane Bickford, Elaine Beliveau of Chicopee, Mass and a brother Walter Czepiel of Ludlow, Mass. along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her most precious ones, her puppies Cuddles and Missy. Cuddles was her service dog. They look for her everyday wondering where she is because they can't find her sitting in her chair. They sit and wait. They don't understand but they hurt like we do . Good example of that is to watch the movie "Hatchi". A Catholic Mass will be held in remembrance of Barbara here in Maine at St. John's Church in Winslow on June 16, 2024 at 10:30am. All are invited to attend and I look forward to seeing you. Her cremation was done by Lawry Brothers-Wheeler Funeral Home where you can sign her book online. A special thank you to Linda Hewey, Jeanne Boutin and the nurses at Lakewood Nursing home for their loving care during her final earthly journey. Donations made in her honor should go to the Salvation Army or Disabled Vets . My sister was a very special lady and she leaves me with a hole in my heart that only Jesus can fill. One consolation is we will meet again. Thank you to all my friends and family. Diane H. Bickford May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you His PEACE. Amen.....Num 6:24-26
